I use Yahoo as my personal
web portal, and find all of their services - from e-mail, finance,
weather, photo gallery, etc. to be top notch - and it's all FREE! |

WSJ.com is
my primary source of business information on the Web. It is
extremely well designed, easy to read, and full of lots of great content
that is not available in the print edition. |

Far and away, Amazon.com
is the best web retailer. I have spent literally thousands of
dollars with them and have not had a single problem in nearly five years
of shopping. Buy from Jeff and company...do a good thing for
yourself and the most customer-focused mass retailer on earth! |
 |
Buy.com does a really good
job as well, and sometimes they have prices that will astound you.
Not as good as Amazon, but still a great web merchant. |

I enjoy the NYT on the Web
just about every day, and read it to get world news that the WSJ doesn't
cover in depth. NYT magazine is available for free on Sundays
(along with the entire paper, as usual) with a brief login procedure. |

Slate is an online
magazine owned by Microsoft, and edited by Michael Kinsley - the well
known liberal writer and commentator. Slate, I think, makes the
most of the Web medium by constantly providing new content, and by
making the entire site highly interactive. Plus, this allows me to
get a regular liberal point of view to temper my emerging fascism... |

Download.com is one of the
best places on the web to get downloads of the hottest software,
shareware, and freeware on the Web. You can get software for
nearly all platforms (including Palm, etc.), and they provide terrific
ratings to enable you to get to the most popular software on the Web. |

I use My Simon.com to
check and compare prices for things that I buy on line, and in other
places. I have saved hundreds of dollars checking prices for major
purchases before I make them. GO there, you cheapskates, you will
love it! |
